Caturday Art: 5 Months Since Merlin's Cancer Diagnosis

Merlin here!  We are back!  While we were gone, we missed a very important date:  5 months since my cancer diagnosis, which was July 4th.  I have now outlived my prognosis by 2 months.  Now, our vet did say that because I was in such great shape when I was diagnosed, I might outlive my prognosis, and she was right!  I have!

In honour of outliving my prognosis for another month, this week we have a digital scrapbook page for Athena's Caturday Art blog hop.

As for me, I am still doing well!  I still purr, and play (when Devi doesn't hog the toys), and curl up under my dad's chin at night.  I have had some soft stools, along with the occasional blood or mucus in my stool, and I do throw up on occasion, but if it wasn't for those things, you would never know I had cancer.  Unfortunately, the biopsies were definitive.  Although as our vet said, some cats do live for up to a year with this type of cancer.  Hopefully that will be the case with me!

Thank you again for all your purrs, prayers, and positive thoughts.  We do greatly appreciate them!
