Dragonheart's Humans Finishing a Half-Marathon(Click photo for a larger image)

In honour of my humans, who are running a half-marathon in Prague today, I bring you this photo of my humans at the end of my mom's first half (my dad's second). They were running on empty by the end of the race! Their "fuel tanks" were empty

I don't know why my humans run so far for no good reason. At the end of April, they will be running even farther, since they plan on running the Hamburg Marathon! Crazy humans.

They will be good and ready to snuggle with you when they get home!!!

Just humor them! And pretend you're proud of them.

I just read your posts since wednesday, because I have been so busy with changing my blog outfits for spring, lol, truth is I just discovered how to do it and tried a lot and of course that takes time and then there is our cruise. It's sad for you to be at home, but it's much better then going with them to Prague for such a short time. They are very lucky to ran in Prague, I have never been there and apparently it is a very beautiful town. I am curious to see if your mum took some pictures. She should participate then on the cruise and show them all it's still time. My cats also have some news, when you have more time you can pay them a visit.

We have marathons here (in Malaysia) to raise funds, but of course there are a lot of other reasons why people run marathons :)

Good luck to them for today.

Very creative!

Hooray for running the half marathon! I'm sure they were running on empty by the end, but they still look pretty perky in the photo.

Maybe they're running on empty but they still look go-go-go! :)

Awww, what a great photo! I've waited at the end of marathons for a runner and even that is exciting!
Many congratulations to your humans and good luck in Hamburg!!

Oh, Dragonheart, I agree with you -- why run so far if you're not chasing a butterfly or catching a mouse? And they use up everything they have, and come up empty. Silly humans.

I agree with these comments Dragonheart. You should just tell them you are proud of them. the positive thing maybe is that running makes you fit and being fit makes you peppy... also tired afterward so maybe they will sit longer...
hmmm...
I hope you have a very happy day today Dragonheart. I hope you are not too lonely.

Oh, I can relate to this picture. There is NOTHING like running on fumes - literally. Hope mom and dad are resting up!

I'm sure they dedicate each successful run to you. After an exhausting run like that, I bet they come running home to see you.

Wish them good luck for me. Take care!

I only wish I had fuel to run a marathon! I think I'm on empty before I even start. Congrats to them for their hard work. :)
Thanks for dropping by my empty suitcase!

Dragonheart, Just raise your kitty eyebrows and show them how you are impressed, raise your feline paw and salute them as if to say..."You're da man...You're da wo-man.." Yea...they love that kind of stuff! LOL

Yep, we kitties know there's no reason to run unless it's after food or away from something scary. But you must indulge them, Dragonheart. After all, they're only human!

Cute humans! I think DKM would be crawling by that point!

And were you waiting at the finish line with snacks? You must always have snacks and water for your human runners no matter how silly it looks.

Love,
Mr. Rhett

Nice post.

Mine is up.

Good luck to them. When I was younger I used to run and know that empty feeling. Happy weekend.

We hope they did great and met their goals. Our grandpa was a marathon runner in the 1970s and 80s when he was in his 40s and early 50s. He went to the Boston Marathon about four times. When he was 46, he had a time of 2:46!

Mom used to accompany him on many of his local races because he was very active in the DC Roadrunner Club and a social running club called the Beltway Striders. Mom tried jogging when she was in college and a bit after, but she has a bad knee. Walking is better for her.

Three cheers for your mom and dad!

Yes, Dragonheart, humans often go to a lot of effort, but other humans are quite proud of them, me included, but I'll let them do the running, I will just walk.

What a wonderful photo for the theme, Dragonheart! I also look forward to seeing what you come up with. You are such a creative being :)

I'm sure you are very proud of your parents. We humans do strange things sometimes.

Our Momma used to compete in fun runs.......but what is fun about that? She won some in her divison, but that was way before we came along.

How far is your human running? I am running the 10km Marathon in July. That's another 3 months for me to train.

Puss-in-Boots said...

Nuh, the gym is enough for me. Running...yuk. I don't mind a brisk walk, it's the getting up early to do that I have trouble with.

Dragonheart, you have such an expressive and gorgeous face.

Big snuggle and hug from me to you.
