This is a portrait of the cat who came before me, Whiskers. He was a Seal Point Siamese that my mom received for her 15th birthday. He meant a lot to my mom. He went to the Rainbow Bridge (where all pets go to wait for their humans when they die) on September 1, 2006, just two months short of his 20th birthday. In honour of his memory, my mom commissioned this portrait by her very talented friend, Michelle Wiebe.
Michelle also painted the following ACEO of me, Dragonheart. What you have to realize about this ACEO is that it is tiny! Only 2 ½" x 3 ½". So the detail she manages to fit into such a tiny size is incredible

Answer the door! It's me...I am here for our visit to the aquarium. Maybe we can also go to the Egyptian Museum if we have time. Do you have any other places for us to go? I have to bring back some pastries from the Backerei or someplace like that for my beans who bought my plane ticket. LETS GO...a weekend is short!

Oh Dragonheart... those are such wonderful drawings. Your Mom's friend is a very talented artist, indeed. You are so lucky to have a Mom that loved a cat before you so much that she had to get another cat when the first one went to the Rainbow Bridge. It shows how much she loves you too.
I have many pets waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge and I look forward to seeing them again one day. I love them all so much.

Oohhh... when I was a kid we had two siamese cats... They were so adorable! And indeed, real sculptures! The siamese cats of today are even more so, but I liked the old type better - they were more fluffy and round and huggable :D
