So yesterday we weren't around because our humans went to the
Kaltenberger Rittertournier (Kaltenberg Knights' Tournament). It's the largest Medieval Tournament in Modern Times. Other than the fact that it started POURING just as the tournament was beginning, and the heavy, heavy rains lasted for about half an hour, they had a great time! For today, we are presenting you with a video of us grooming. We Sphynx groom ourselves just like other cats do! However, because our tongues cannot keep up with the oils our skin secretes, since we have no fur for the oil to distribute itself through, we need weekly or biweekly baths to keep us healthy. Otherwise the oil builds up on our skin and can cause problems, in addition to rubbing off of objects that we spend a lot of time sitting or sleeping on!

I like seeing how helpful it is to have another cat to help with the grooming. I asked my mom if I could get a brother or sister to help me, but she said it was not going to happen. You are lucky!!

Grooming cuties! It's nice to learn how you do things the same but have different needs than us. Be thankful yoo don't get to puke up any hairballs! Hee hee.
We feel fer ya both fer haffin ta take baths efry week. Thats annoyin!
But we have problems wif our furs. Worst is the sticky seeds that get init. They get unner our furs an are hard ta lick or scratch off. They get at the bottom of our tails a lot and The Big Thing hasta pick them out (an we hate hafin him mess around there).
An there are tickies! They grab on an are harder to get off than the sticky seeds! We hafta wait fer The Big Thing ta find them. He hasta hold us down if one hand, seperate our furs wif the 2nd hand, and use tweezers ta pull them off carefully with the 3rd hand!
Wow! Purrfect timing with the music and the grooming. I didn't know about the oil stuff. I guess I have so much floof that the oil gets lost!
