Thankful Throwback Thursday: Dragonheart

Hello all!  Dragonheart here.  We hope our friends in the United States have a very happy Thanksgiving.  Canadian Thanksgiving was back in October.

Today, we are celebrating Throwback Thursday!  In honour of a very special day tomorrow, here is a photo of me, Dragonheart, as a kitten!  This was taken in November 2006.  We are also celebrating Thankful Thursday.  I am thankful that I have a wonderful forever home and that I am here to celebrate an important day tomorrow!

Throwback Thursday: Baby Merlin

Hello all!  Merlin here!  In honour of my recent birthday, on September 2nd, today I am sharing some of my baby photos with you.  I was 8 days old in these photos, and that is me and my litter-mate brother.  These photos were taken by my breeder, Miracle Love cattery, in Germany.  No, I don't know if I'm the one in the front or in the back.

Here is another photo courtesy of my breeder.  Again, I am 8 days old, and you can see me here with my momma cat and all of my litter mates (there were two girls and two boys in the litter).

Throwback Thursday: Kitten Movie

Dragonheart here!  Today for Throwback Thursday I have a video for all of you of when I was a kitten!  The video is from January 2007, so I was about 6 months old.  I was also an only cat back then.  Merlin hadn't even been born yet.  Enjoy!

Throwback Thursday: Tunnel Fun

This week for Throwback Thursday we are going all the way back to May 2008.  Dragonheart was not quite 2 years old, and Merlin was about 9 months old.  Enjoy!

Dragonheart: In this video, I am inside the tunnel, and Merlin (as you can see) is outside. We are having a lot of fun playing with each other through the small, side tunnel.

Throwback Thursday: Toes!

This post originally appeared in January 2008!  We'll have to take some photos of Devi's toes to share one of these days!

Here is a comparison between our back paws. As you can see, Merlin has brown paw pads, whereas Dragonheart's are two-toned: pink and dark brown (the brown on Dragonheart's toes is part of his colouring - it's not dirt.)

As you can see from these photos, we Sphynx have paw pads that are thicker than the paw pads of most other breeds. Some say this gives us the appearance of walking on air cushions. In fact, the CFA Sphynx Breed Standard states:

Paws are oval with well-knuckled toes; five in front and four behind. The paw pads are thick, giving the appearance of walking on cushions.

Throwback Thursday

Dragonheart here!  This video and post first appeared in January 2007, when I was still just a kitten!  (I was born in July 2006).  I was an only cat back then, before Merlin joined our family.

Our mom is still super-busy, so we probably won't be visiting friends until the weekend.  After this coming weekend is over, she'll have a bit more time, as she'll only have her practicum placement to worry about, as she'll be done with all the coursework for her master's!

Merlin: I LOVE carboard boxes! They are so much fun to play in, and cardboard is so much fun to chew! I love destroying anything made of cardboard. Here you can see I am doing a good job of destroying this cardboard box.  P.S.  My eyes are blue, but the flashy box thing makes them look weird in the photos. P.P.S.  Yes, my mom made a typo and misspelled cardboard in the video title.  Good human help is hard to find!

Throwback Thursday: Grooming

We realized that we have a lot of new friends who haven't seen some of our old videos, plus it's been a while (these were first posted in 2008), so I'm sure our old friends don't remember them!  Our mom had certainly forgotten them.  (Silly humans, they should remember everything about us cats!)

Here we are (well, Dragonheart and Merlin), when we were still living in Germany. Dragonheart is about 2 in this video and Merlin had just turned 1 earlier that month.  (The video is after the two photos.)
