Meezer Rule Wednesday: Dessert

Merlin: My Meezer Rule for today: Just because we cats are obligate carnivores, doesn't mean we can't enjoy a bit of dessert! Whenever possible, try to share a yummy dessert with your humans, such as this delicious apple pastry! (Who says that cats don't have sweet taste buds!)

Meezer Rule Wednesday: Food!

Merlin: My Meezer Rule for today: Even though we are obligate carnivores, it is perfectly acceptable to eat other types of food. I particularly enjoy eating chips, animal crackers, digestive biscuits, cheese, and yogourt! In the video and photos below, I am enjoying some yummy chips/crisps.

Meezer Rule Wednesday: Tunnels

Merlin: My Meezer Rule for today: If you have a tunnel, you can use it any way you want, including lying halfway out of the side tunnel to lie in the sun. If your sibling makes fun of you for lying that way, just get back at them by winning a wrestling match, after you've finished sunbathing. And if your humans laugh at you, just ignore them. What do humans know?

Meezer Rule Wednesday: Sharing

Merlin: My Meezer Rule for today: Even when you are grown, you can still share your mom's lap. If you are feeling generous, you can even let your sibling sit on the actual lap, and you can get comfy on her extended legs. This also applies to other humans' laps as well, as long as their legs are stretched out.

Of course, when I was still a little kitten, and not a fully-grown Mancat, we could both fit on the lap part of the lap, as seen in the photo below, from January 2008.

Merlin: It is perfectly acceptable to show your humans plenty of affection. If you spend lots of time curled up on them, purring and otherwise showing them that you love them, they will be more inclined to forgive you when you are a troublemaker later on.

Meezer Rule Wednesday: Napping Spots

Merlin: Any collection of soft objects immediately becomes a bed for the cats!

Here, Dragonheart and I are napping together on a collection of clean sheets and a clean quilt that our humans left piled up in a laundry basket. It was a very cozy spot for a nap! (And no, they weren't warm. We don't have a dryer, since there is no place to hook one up in our home, and we can't cut a hole in the wall for the dryer vent since we are renting. So we hang everything to dry.)

Meezer Rule Wednesday: Meezer Colours

Merlin: Today is Meezer Colour Day! As most of you know, I am a pointed Sphynx, which means I am essentially a Siamese Sphynx! My colour pattern is the same as that of Meezer's. I am a Seal Point and White Sphynx, and you can see my points on my muzzle, and on the edges of my ears, as well as on my paws. My muzzle isn't a solid seal point colour due to the "and white" part of my colouration. You can see a little white blaze on the left side of my face (the right side as you are looking at me) and I have white cheeks as well. The white portions of my colouration show up as pink skin on the rest of me, since I have no fur on most of my body.

Like all pointed Sphynx, I have blue eyes, and my eyes are baby blue in colour. Therefore, blue is one of my favourite colours, since it matches my eyes! Neutral colours, such as cream, beige, and brown, also complement my colouration.

My Gizzy quilt is a perfect example of my favourite colours. It has many wonderful shades of blue, especially the light blues and baby blues that match my eyes. Other colours can also be found in it, that complement the blues nicely.
