Meezer Rule Wednesday: Modeling

Dragonheart and Merlin on Canada Day
Merlin: This week's Meezer Rule: It is acceptable to mostly behave during a photo shoot, when you are being paid in treats. But make sure that you don't behave perfectly, because you don't want the photographer taking you for granted.

Dragonheart: We would like to thank Karen Jo for presenting us with this lovely award:

"The 'Arte y Pico' award was created and to be given to bloggers who inspire others with their creative energy and their talents, whether it be writing, artwork in all media's. When you receive this award it is considered a 'special honor'. Once you have received this award, you are to pass it on to at least 5 others."

We would like to pass this award along to:

Frootbat Friday & Awards

Here we are on one of our cats trees (this one is in the cat room /spare room) enjoying the morning sun.

We have been honoured with some awards from some of our wonderful friends.

First off, Millie presented us with the Big Kahuna Award. Thank you Millie! We would like to pass this award along to Luxor, who has the most graceful photos of any cat we know, and who always has a kind word.

Roxy
presented us with the Totally Hip Award! Thank you Roxy! We are happy that you think we are hip! We would like to pass this award on to Kaze, because she is lots of fun, and very hip too! When it comes to playing, purring and stealing trash, Kaze is the Jedi Master, and Merlin is her Padawan! :)

Frootbat Friday

Best Static ValentineDragonheart: We had a fabulous time yesterday! The Valentine's Day cruise was wonderful, and it was great to chat with a bunch of wonderful cats! Thanks to everyone who left comments on our Valentines in Skeezix' Valentine's Day contest! Merlin and I ended up sharing the prize for best static Valentine! So thanks to the judges and to everyone who left a comment! Congratulations to all the winners and participants!

In the photo below, I am having lots of fun playing with my catnip cigar! It's a lot of fun to bunny-kick it!

Dragonheart

Merlin: Well, being "fixed" hasn't slowed me down at all, so far! I'm still a crazy, active, playful kitten, with tons of energy! I was chewing on my stitches the other day (hey, they were itchy!) but my mom put a stop to that, and now they'll dissolved and fallen out on their own. The tiny incision is still healing, but it's almost completely closed. Thanks to everyone who sent me their purrs and good thought.

I still purr up a storm, purring if someone even approaches me. What can I say? I love to purr! When I'm not playing, running through the house, or trying to steal trash, I love to cuddle with my mom, my dad, or Dragonheart. In the photo below, I am attacking the whiskers on our cat tent. Whiskers intrigue me, since I don't have any! You can also see the delicate shading of colour on my ears in the photo.

Fine Frootbats on Friday & An Award

Here we are both enjoying the sun. This photo was taken yesterday, and you can see how green the grass in our Garten is, and it hasn't been maintained at all (both of our humans have Black thumbs, and tend to kill all plants, so the only maintenance they do is mowing the lawn with a pushmower in the summer)! We are loving the mild winter that Munich has been having!

Siani has presented us this wonderful award! Thank you Siani!

Double Frootbat Friday & Awards!

We both love the sun! :) It feels so good on our bare skin. :) See the green grass in our yard behind us? Munich is having a very mild winter. It has been very warm. We've had no real snow to speak of - a little bit of snow has fallen a couple of times this winter, but it's melted as soon as it hits the ground! We don't mind, and our humans certainly don't mind! The mild weather is much better for them for running!

We would like to pass this award along to Kaze, Latte, Miss Peach, Ramses, Mickey, and Artsy Catsy.

Frootbat Friday, Catster Contest & An Award

Vote For Me in the World's Coolest Cat ShowCatster's World's Coolest Cat Show is on! Please take a look at my photos, and if you like any of them, please vote for me (Dragonheart) at The 3rd Annual World's Coolest Dog & Cat Show. Thanks so much!

It hurts me that so many people think Sphynx are ugly and funny-looking, and the mean and cruel comments I get on my blog really hurt, so it would be really nice to win and show people that Sphynx are beautiful cats too! Thank you! :)

Dragonheart(Click photo to view a larger image)

Reba, a very nice woofie, honoured me with this award! Thank you Reba!

I would like to pass this award along to:
Update on me: The new food seems to be working. There wasn't any blood yesterday evening or this morning. Last night, my litterbox trip was very, very soft - softer than it has ever been - but it wasn't stinky, and there was no blood. This morning it was still soft (but less soft than last night) and again, it wasn't stinky, and there was no blood. So it looks like the new duck-based food is working! Keep your paws crossed that it continues to work - thanks! Thanks again for all your prayers and purrs. They are very much appreciated!

Frootbat Friday & An Award

Two photos this week, that were taken at the same time as the photo I featured last week for Frootbat Friday. In the first one, if you view the larger version, you can just see a couple of my very short, tiny, curly whiskers. In both photos, you can see my tiny ear tufts (I have a light coat of fur on both my ears), my nose fur, and my cute forehead wrinkles.

The wonderful Miss Peach and the sweet Storm, the Furry Fighter, awarded me the Blogging Star Award. The award was created by Barb at Skittles' Place. To quote from Barb:
This award is for bloggers who shine their light throughout the Blogosphere. Some do it with humor, others with creativity, and others with their kind and thoughtful natures. We all know more than a few of them so why not give them some recognition?
Here's what to do if you receive this:
Blogging Star
Proudly display it on your blog along with a link to who gave it to you.
Mention that it originated here at Skittles' Place so I can follow its journey.
Pass it on to any blogger(s) you think should have it.
I am honoured that Miss Peach has given me this award. In turn, I would like to pass it on to:
  • My girlfriend cat, Stella, who has delighted us with the photos of her and her baby Meezers.
  • Kaze, definitely a bright light in the blogosphere with her energy and her comments
  • Caesar & Princess, two wonderful cats who always have something kind to say
  • Kashim & Othello, their beautiful photos and their humour area always a delight

Mancat Monday & An Award!

Mancats are always careful to patrol their yard to make sure that everything is in order.

Dragonheart on his harness
In other news, Catster is honouring the Sphynx this week! Stop by and meet some other gorgeous kitties like me!

I am also honoured that Meeyauw awarded me the "Nice Matters" Award.

Nice MattersThis award means a lot to me, because I always try to be nice. Since I am different from other cats, I know how much it hurts when people say cruel or hurtful things, and so I always try to be nice and kind.

I would like to award this in turn to:
  • Caesar & Princess: These are two cats that always have a kind word for everyone. They are very sweet and wonderful friends.
  • Miss Peach: Miss Peach is my virtual older sister and her posts always display kindness and compassion, as do her comments.
  • Sophia: Sophia and DKM are helpful and compassionate. Through their many auctions of snuggles they have helped many cats (and others) in need.
Finally, Happy Labour Day to all the cats (and their humans) in Canada and the United States.

Thursday Thirteen: Best Buds

Thursday Thirteen
My prize pack from Laffin an Laffin's contest arrived! I won the Best Buds frame in Jeter Harris' Squillion's contest! Here are 13 photos that show me opening my prize pack! Thanks again for a great contest Laffin an Laffin and Jeter Harris! My dad has already brought the frame to his office, and has it displayed there, but my mom took some new photos of us the other day, so I think I'm going to have him bring in the photo I showed you yesterday, and put that in the frame.

Cats on Tuesday: Kaze's Contest

Cats on Tuesday As I mentioned on Sunday, my friend Kaze held a contest for her one year Blogaversary, and I was lucky enough to win! She sent me a fabulous prize pack, with a soft fleece pad from the Siamese Rescue, a Wooly Bully toy, and two small fleece toys: a spider and a octopus! I love all my prizes, especially the fleece pad. My humans have placed it on top of my toy chest, next to the wall-to-wall living room windows, so I can lounge on it and watch all the action taking place outside. Thank you Kaze for such a great contest and such fabulous prizes!

Sunday Is For Friends

First off, a huge congratulations to Stella on the birth of her four baby Meezers! Be sure to stop by the Meezer Mirror and read the wonderful birth story, and check out some beautiful photos of Stella and her babies! Stella, I hope you don't mind that I used the photo of you and your kittens to create this card for you. All the best to you, your human mom, and your kittens Stella.

Congratulations Stella(Created using "A Very Regal Cat" Plopper from Digital Scrapbook Place)

Next, I received my prize pack from Kaze for winning her Blogaversary contest! I received a wonderful fleece pad from the Siamese Rescue, a Wooly Bully, a fleece octopus toy and a spider toy. As you can see from the photos below, I love the fleece pad! My mom put it on top of my toy box, where I often like to sit or lie and look out the window (it's my second-favourite spot to sit, after my Gizzy quilt). I also enjoy playing with the toys, especially the Wooly Bully! Thank you Kaze for having such a great contest with such wonderful prizes!

Frootbat Friday & Awards

This is my last Frootbat Friday as a kitten, although I still feel like a kitten. I love to romp and play and have lots of fun.

Dragonheart(Click photo for a larger image)

My dear friends Princess and Caesar presented me with the Blogging Community Involvement Award. Thank you very much Caesar and Prinnie! I am honoured!

Blogging Community Involvement AwardSo what is "the power of schmooze?"
“As it goes, schmoozing is the natural ability 'to converse casually, especially in order to gain an advantage or make a social connection.' Good schmoozers effortlessly weave their way in and out of the blogosphere, leaving friendly trails and smiles, happily making new friends along the way. They don’t limit their visits to only the rich and successful, but spend some time to say hello to new blogs as well. They are the ones who engage others in meaningful conversations, refusing to let it end at a mere hello - all the while fostering a sense of closeness and friendship."

Each recipient is to post the badge on their site with a link to their post and bestow the award upon five other bloggers. There are so many wonderful bloggers out there, that this is a hard decision to make. Here are my choices:
  • Kattonic Cats: Zippy, Sadie and Speedy: They are three wonderful cats who are always visiting other blogs and leaving nice comments.
  • Miss Peach: Miss Peach is a real lady and always has a kind and caring message for those she visits.
  • Kaze: A fellow Frootbat, Kaze always has a kind word for others. She's also the only cat I know who likes playing even more than I do!

I was also presented with the Caring Cat Blogger Award! This award is for cats who demonstrate caring and compassion for others. I am very touched and honoured to receive this award.

Caring Cat BloggerI would like to present this award in turn to Caesar and Princess. These two Cornish Rex kitties are very kind and caring, and always have something thoughtful to say. They are wonderful friends and their posts and comments are always a delight to read. Although they are both dealing with CRF, they are still positive cats, with a wonderful outlook on life. I am very honoured to have them as friends.

Finally, don't forget that Weekend Cat Blogging is here this weekend! Check out my Weekend Cat Blogging post and add your link to the round-up! Thanks!
