Sunny Half-Marathon Sunday

My mom ran a half-marathon in Regensburg today. It's about an hour North of Munich. She said it was very hot out, much too hot to run a half-marathon in. I think she's crazy to run that far to begin with. (A half-marathon is 13.1 miles / 21.1 kilometres.) Since my mom was busy running this half-marathon, she didn't have time to help me with the computer, which is why we weren't around earlier today. I promise to visit all my friends once my mom recovers from her race.

You can see below what I was doing - sensibly enjoying the sun - while my mom was running.

Yoor mom's pretty brave to run dat far in da heet. Our mom wants to know how we can sleep 18 hours, eat like a little pig and then chase our toys for 20 minits and stay in such good shape. Hey, we're cats, dat is how we stay in shape.

I know you were resting for you mom while she ran the marathon. How did she do? Just thinking about that makes me and Tigger tired. I think we'll go take a nap.
Have a very restful Sunday,

For many years our Momma ran 8 miles efurry day, rain or shine, and she wasn't efun going anywhere!! Go figure.....

We love seeing your picher, now Momma knows what we look like wifout our fur coat. We loved your Thursday 13 btw.

We lost all the sunny spots and it is cloudy and chilly, so think we will nap.

Yes, Dragonheart, you are proving cats are smarter than humans! This is how you should spend a Sunday morning!

This is actually an upcoming topic in our series "Why do(n't) humans do that?". Running all those miles without even a mouse to follow? When you could nap instead? And there are many more things they call 'sport' that are just beyond the comprehension of intelligent cats...

By the way: you look great out there in the sun!

Your Gizzy quilt is blue like mine. Lying in the sun is the best thing to do on hot days. Why do humans do such illogical things??

Yer hobby luks a lot more fun than yer lady's hobby. What's at the finish line that makes yer lady run that far?

We are going to follow your example and find a sunspot for a long nap!

Relaxing sounds like a lot more fun than running, expecially when it's hot out.

does your mom need a foot massage after her run? it seems like a long way to run when it's too hot. it seems like a long way to run when it's not too hot! (heh)

you are definitely the brilliant one...there on your gizzy quilt!

Congratulations to your Mom for running her half-marathon, even in the heat. I wish we had some heat. You look very comfortable dozing in the sun on your gizzy quilt.

Spot on, Dragonheart. That sunspot looks sweeeeeet.

I hope your mummy recovers from her run. I heard that sometimes runner's toenails fall off!!! (Warn her about this.)

Wow, that's great about your mom running a marathon! I'm so glad we cats don't do that, but it's a neat thing for humans to do.

If my mom ran a marathon, I'd lay in the sunshine, like you! You look so cozy and relaxed.

Purrs and snuggles from Marilyn!

We choose the sun over running, too!
Know you are proud of your mom to finish the half-marathon, it's furry hard work. We know because the man that lived here ran a few marathons.
