Thursday Thirteen: Enjoying our Cat Tree

We have a wonderful cat tree in our spare room / cat room. The morning sun shines in through the windows, and it is a great place to spend a sunny morning.

13 Photos of Us Enjoying Our Cat Tree

We would like to thank all our friends for their purrs for our mom. She is feeling much better now. For those who asked, she has had two surgeries for endometriosis, and has good pain relief for several years after surgery, but then the endometriosis lesions grow back, and the pain returns. Sadly, there is no cure. Even hysterectomy is not a cure, as many women will sadly have endometriosis return, even after a hysterectomy. Some of the drugs used to treat endometriosis, like Lupron, have nasty side effects, such as bone loss. It can be a very painful disease, and we hope that some day they find a cure.

Those are all lovely photos, we particularly like the second one. It is nice to have your cat tree in a sunspot.
We are sorry your mum is getting so much pain and hope that she can get some relief from it.

Oh your poor Mom... Having ouchy ladybits is no good at all! :( My too has problems that can't be corrected by surgery or the like - you can't fix damaged nerves and they cause pain when they feel like it too. Plus the meds she's on sometimes cause other isses too... When she's feeling icky we just take her to bed and cuddle her like mad - it always makes her feel better! :)

As for your cat tree, I've got my orders in for one for the run since Mummy told me about one she saw at a friends cattery yesterday! Time for Dad to get his tool box out! ;)

Purrs,
Isis

We are so sorry your Mom suffers from endometriosis, we will be purring that the pain goes away soon.

Both of you looked very happy and relaxed on your cat tree. ~Socks, Scylla & Charybdis

PS: We think a cat in the lap to pet is a good remedy. But then again that is our answer to all the beans problems.

MB has known a few women with this problem - One who spends her whole life in bed! It is not good to have!

I want a cat tree, but MB says we don't have the room. I think that's unfair.

Pictures 2 & 3 made us giggle. DH, you're super patient with your brother. And it looks like you make a good foot rest. Merlin, it looks like you might be getting ready to whap DH in #7.

We hope your mom feels better. We know that you're taking good care of her while your dad's away.

What a perfect spot for napping - the sunshine looks wonderful!

We're glad that your Mom is feeling better, our Auntie had a hysterectomy to take care of her endometriosis, so we know it can be really bad.

That is a perfect spot for your tree because it is sunny and has a great view! And it looks comfy, too.

When you get back to Canada (and the language barrier isn't there) try acupuncture. It really CAN help with the pain.

I like how your tree is the perfect window height! Our guest bed is window height so we like to hang there a lot.

Great pictures of you two! We both can't fit on our cat tree top, not that we'd want too :p We are with you hoping to find a cure for Endo!! Though momma is good now she lives with the fear it will return and another surgery will be inevitable. Momma is trying biomolecular therapy this time to see how it will work for her. Anything is better then nasty Lupron. She has felt very good with it! ~Queen Snickers

I love those photos! Cat trees in the sun are the best!

Meowm has the same issues your Mom does, but apparently not as bad. When Meowm had her lady gradenectomy, the doc cleaned up the endo-stuff but told her it was a 60% chance it would come back.

We are sending more purrs for your Mom.

Those are lovely photos of the two of you on your cat tree. You two really are very handsome. And very lucky to have such a lovely sunspot. We have not seen the sun in many days. We are sorry that your mom's endometrios keeps coming back. We hope they find a cure for it too.

Mom says she can sympathize (?) with your mom's pain. My mom has had 8 surgeries in the past 1 1/2 years. We hope your mom is feeling better soon.

We love your cat tree, but either it's a small tree or you're very big boys. We think you're probably big boys...prrrroww!

Anyway, it sure looks lovely in that sunny spot. Our tree is by the big window so we can see what's happening outside, too.
