Half-Marathon Mancat & Meezer Monday

While our humans were running a half-marathon yesterday (13.1 miles /21.1 kilometres), here's what we were doing:
Dragonheart and Merlin

Our humans did okay at the half-marathon. It was a personal worst for our mom, unfortunately. She was on track to run a great race until somewhere between 8 and 9 miles, when her stomach starting acting up on her. She couldn't keep running with her stomach bothering her, so she had to alternate running and walking. But she wasn't aiming for a personal record/ personal best time, so she's okay with it. Now, once our humans have recovered from the half, they'll start training for the Dublin Marathon in October (26.2 miles / 42.2 km).

Beloved brother and little Merlin! I have had the most wonderful adventure in Hawaii. I know how many adventure your humans have been on since they moved to Germany...now a trip to Ireland in October?! Such a beautiful thing to look forward to while training for the run. I do hope your mom is feeling better...such a pity to not be able to excel when so well prepared for a run.
I promise to send your crinkle sack you won in Lilly Lu's benefit auction soon. Do let me know when Paypal has been made. I warn you, however, the crinkle sound is very addictive:))
I hope your springtime is warming up your window spots just right for snoozing...
Love your Miss Peachy

Oh, stomach problems on a long run does not sound like much fun! I'm glad she was able to finish even though it was not a PR.

Ah it is good to have a personal worst. Hopefully it will never change and always be the lowest mark. Congrats to both of your beans for running. mom used to run in high school, now she just skates and walks.

You two look like you were having a sleeping/snuggling marathon. I hope it was one of your best!

purrrs for a happy day

Running is not for the fastest record, but is a self knowing process. That's what I think.
Just like taking quiz, not for the score, but just knowing how much you have already understand.
I think your mommy is already doing very well~!

Our Mom is very good at sitting on the curb and cheering the runners on.
She did that for many years at the Peachtree Road Race and a couple of marathons.

We hope your humans do great in October!!

Aw man, that must have annoyed her though. Wish my Mom could run to the corner, nevermind a half a marathon. Anyways, I'm hanging out at the M-Cats club today, come on by guys.

Mom can relate, she sometimes has trouble with her tummy when she runs too. Half marathons are her favorite race. But I think the two of you had the best idea.

You both look very cute all snuggled up together. I think your mom is great to even try a half-marathon, much less to keep on going with a tummy ache!

Thanks for stopping by today! Purrrrrs.

Dear D. & M,
Mommy had to comment from work for me today. We can't get to your blog from our home computer. For some reason it locks our computer up and we have to reboot.
Which stinks, 'cause we like to visit you every day!
Please tell your folks that we all think they are great for staying in shape and doing marathons!

Thankyou for coming around and wishing my SMS a happy birthday. She was working till 11pm that night. Good thing Momo and I brought something back from our cruise for her to eat. We celebrated all day for her!
